Honorary Colonel Tracie Marsh
Tracie Marsh, Director, Planning and Change Management at Canadore College, has over 20 years business management experience in both the private and public sector. As Director, Planning and Change Management, Tracie leads the planning and change management effort across the College. This role is dedicated to implementing appropriate change management and infrastructure processes in support of the strategic alignment of the College.
As Chief Operating Officer at Pilot Diamond Tools, Tracie was responsible for the overall operations at Pilot – a company established in 1969, servicing the mining supply sector. Tracie achieved impressive business results while fostering a respectful, healthy and inclusive workplace.
Prior to her position at Pilot Diamond Tools, Tracie spent 13 years in the higher education sector. In her position as Dean of Trades, Technology and Part-time Studies at Canadore College in North Bay, Tracie was responsible for apprenticeship, trades, technology, community justice and police services and part-time studies, as well as overall management responsibility of the Innovation Centre for Advanced Manufacturing and Prototyping (ICAMP) and the college’s Commerce Court Campus. ICAMP received the Northern Ontario Business Award for Entrepreneurial Community of the Year in 2013.
Tracie has served on the Board of Directors for the North Bay & District Chamber of Commerce, The Business Centre, Nipissing-Parry Sound, OntarioLearn and the Almaguin Choral Society. Currently, Tracie is a Director and Treasurer for the Board of Directors of MineConnect, an association representing Northern Ontario’s mining supply and services cluster.
Born in Welland, Ontario to a police officer father and a registered nurse mother, Tracie has a true appreciation for those who serve and is aware of many of the sacrifices that military personnel and their families make. Tracie has a BA in Administrative and Commercial Studies/Finance and Economics from Western University as well as her MBA (Marketing Concentration) from Laurier University.
